i am astonished about how serious soccer is handled here in the english YC. i thought the english-people would laugh more about their soccer, as even the germans do!!!

First of all, being English doesn't make me a hooligan. Thank you very much!
Secondly, we don't laugh about 'soccer' but we laugh about 'football', if you don't mind. - a lot!!!
Take for example our last match: Croatia v England... G Neville's 'fantastic' own goal? Goal of the season if you ask me! Hilarious! ;)
As for the other overpaid prima donnas - you can't but laugh! They are priceless...

I'm a footie fan and I'm not a hooligan.
Football's not just a sport in England - it's kind of a "religion". We do take it very serious. We're even very serious about our own team if it fails.
